Specsavers Barkingside are calling on drivers in the local area to make sure their eyes are in tip top shape this winter.
And the store, in the High Street, is urging people to come in for an MOT if they have not had an eye test for a while.
Regular eye tests
Christina Tomlinson, store director in Barkingside, said: ‘Having regular eye tests is really important for everyone. They can detect changes in your vision, but can also detect medical conditions which can affect your ability to drive safely.
‘So if you have not had a test in a while we would encourage you to come in and have one.'
Carry a spare
The store is also encouraging drivers to make sure they have a spare pair of glasses to hand – and maybe a pair of sunglasses too.
Christina explained: ‘If you need your glasses to drive, leaving them at home could be a massive pain. That is why we would recommend you keep a spare pair in the glove compartment.
‘Low sun can be a problem in the winter too, so some sunglasses might also be useful. At Specsavers Barkingside, we are here to support you with all of your vision needs. So why not come and see us soon.’
