Specsavers stores up and down the country are gearing up to join Brain Tumour Research’s annual Wear a Hat Day fundraising initiative. But the team in Barking are aiming to go one step further by launching a week-long drive for donations to the charity.
Specsavers goodies on offer
Customers in Barking are being invited to take part in a raffle, with a chance to win single vision sunglasses worth up to £69, as well as a special hamper full of other Specsavers goodies.
Raffle tickets cost just £1 and all proceeds will be donated to Brain Tumour Research.
Sonia Persand, store director in Barking, said: ‘Brain Tumour Research is an extremely worthy cause and we always feel obliged to ensure we raise as much money and awareness as possible.
‘Many customers will not be aware that, far from simply checking the quality of your vision, eye tests can be vital in the diagnosis of a range of conditions, including brain tumours. As such, this is an incredibly important time to educate our customers on their importance.
‘There are some great prizes on offer, so we look forward to seeing our customers get behind our fundraising initiative as generously as they always do.’
