Staff at Specsavers Banbury got into the festive spirit on Friday 16 December by taking part in Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day and giving customers the chance to win a hamper full of Christmas goodies.
As well as paying for the privilege to wear their finest festive attire, instead of doing a Secret Santa, the team have each made a donation of food to make up the festive hamper. Customers were invited to buy a raffle ticket and enter into the draw to win the goodies which included Panettone, wine and chocolate. The winner was picked at random and all the money raised was donated to Save the Children.
A word from the store director
‘Christmas is a time for giving and we wanted to give something back to our customers who have supported us throughout 2016, as well as helping Save the Children,’ said store director Paul Bridge. ‘The team are really looking forward to wearing their Christmas jumpers and raising as much money as possible. We also had a selfie square and some festive props on hand if customers fancied some funny photos.’
