The team at Banbridge Specsavers is making a final push to complete a year’s fundraising programme for neo-natal and special baby units in Craigavon and Daisy Hill hospitals.
Invite to customers and shoppers
The store is hosting a coffee morning in the store on Saturday 10 March from 10am to 1pm.
The charity party will include tea, coffee and juice as well as a range of tray bakes, buns and other treats and local customers and shoppers in Banbridge are invited to call in and make a voluntary donation.
Specsavers embarked on a year-long charity drive as store director Wayne Watson and his wife Lynn, a schoolteacher in Banbridge wanted to thank both hospitals for the care and support they had received when twins Isla and Micah were born prematurely back in 2015.
Very grateful to hospital teams
As Wayne explains: ‘Without the expert and fantastic care of all the medical and nursing staff at Craigavon and Daisy Hill the twins wouldn’t be here, and we are incredibly grateful to both units.’
Throughout the past 12 months staff have held raffles, coffee mornings, taken on cycling events and 10k walks to help generate cash for both hospitals.
Paying tribute to all in Banbridge who made donations
‘We’d like to thank all patients, friends, family and everyone in Banbridge who has made donations to help us reach our charity goal. It’s very much appreciated, and we look forward to everyone calling in store for eats and treats on Saturday 10 March.’
