With the shorter days still making an appearance, Specsavers Ashby has donated several high-visibility vests to local children’s groups.

Before the third lockdown began in January, the store, at 31 Market Street, provided local Brownies and Scouts groups with the vests, as well as Ashby Willesley Primary School, so the youngsters can stay safe and seen while summer slowly approaches.

A word from the store director

‘While the vests can’t be used at the moment, we hope once they can, they will help put the minds of teachers and parents at rest,’ comments Specsavers Ashby store director, Kuljinder Bains. ‘While we’re starting to put winter behind us, even as the days draw out, it will still be important for children to be spotted when out and about, and I’m sure the vests will be put to good use.’
