A mum from Arbroath recently completed the London Marathon in five hours 42 minutes, raising more than £1,200 for charity. Zoe Nadin overcame a bout of pneumonia to compete in the event and her son, Sebastain, kept her going during the rough moments.
She said: ‘I was doing ok until around 16 miles then it started to get tough and by 19 it was a killer. I walked most of the last six miles as there was no way I wasn’t finishing; I couldn't return home without that medal for my little boy.
The crowd was fantastic and it was an amazing experience but not one I feel I ever need to repeat.’
The 29-year-old only returned to training four weeks before the event after making a full recovery from illness. In total she raised £1,254.50 for her chosen charity - Round Table Children’s Wish.
