Specsavers Antrim has celebrated its fifth anniversary by giving birthday vouchers to some local schools.

Birthday vouchers

Davin Quinn, store director, explains: ‘We’re marking 5 years in business and wanted to thank the community for its support during that time. One of our birthday initiatives was to support a couple of local schools by giving them a £150 voucher to use in their fundraising projects. I’m delighted that St Comgall’s Primary School will find the voucher helpful in raising funds for its new minibus.’

Minibus fundraising

Aideen Johnson, vice chair, St Comgall’s fundraising committee, said: ‘This year we have set an ambitious target to help St Comgall’s buy a minibus. This would be used to transport pupils to sporting events and other activities and would greatly ease the financial burden on parents, enabling all children to participate.

'Specsavers’ voucher will be used as a top prize in our summer fair raffle and we’re really grateful to Davin for his support.’
