Specsavers in Antrim has completed its annual charity partnership on a high by presenting Marie Curie with a cheque for £2100. The money was raised over the last 12 months by a variety of fundraising activities carried out by the store team.
Store director, Davin Quinn, says, ‘Since the store opened in 2012 we have selected a local charity every year. We have really enjoyed working with Marie Curie’s Fundraising Manager, Anne McRoberts, and are delighted to be handing over £2100 to help support the valuable work done by their local nursing service. The team have taken part in cycle challenges, swimathons, cake sales, and a whole raft of events to raise the money and I’m very proud of what they’ve achieved.’
Huge thank you
Anne McRoberts, Marie Curie Fundraising Manager, says, ‘A huge thank you to everyone at Specsavers in Antrim for all their hard work and commitment throughout the year. The funds raised will help provide 105 hours of care for people living with any terminal illness, and their families. We offer expert care, guidance and support to help them get the most from the time they have left.’
