Cash for Kids Day has raised over £26,500 to support children with life-limiting illnesses across Northern Ireland and Specsavers Antrim played its part.
£450 Specsavers vouchers
The charity sent out a Megavan across the country to seek prizes from willing donors which included £450 worth of Specsavers vouchers. Downtown Country Radio presenter Jason Hughes made the dash into the store during his 4-hour challenge.
Store Director, Davin Quinn, says: ‘Cash for Kids NI is our adopted charity of the year so we aim to support all of their campaigns in any way we can.
'Megavan was a great idea and we were delighted to welcome Jason on his challenge albeit only for minutes! He did really well to collect £15,000 worth of prizes and we were really pleased to play our part.’
Specialist hospice care
Funds raised from Cash for Kids Day aims to help children going through their cancer treatments and to also provide specialist hospice care at Northern Ireland’s only children’s hospice.
