Specsavers opticians in Antrim have selected Marie Curie Cancer Care as the charity for 2015. For the next 12 months the opticians will be engaging in a variety of fundraising activities to support the charity’s work in their local area.
Store director, Davin Quinn, said: ‘Since the store opened in 2012 we have selected a local charity every year. Following our successful partnerships with Chest, Heart and Stroke and Children In Need, we are delighted to welcome Marie Curie this year. The opticians is looking forward to working with local community fundraiser, Anne McRoberts, in raising funds to help support the valuable work done by Marie Curie’s local nursing service and the volunteers in the helper service.’

Marie Curie gives people with all terminal illnesses the choice to die at home. Its nurses provide them and their families with free hands-on care and emotional support.
