Specsavers at Castle Mall Shopping Centre has donated 160 high visibility vests to two groups in the Antrim area. The aim is to help young people and their adult minders to be seen better on our roads.
Local community benefits
Parkhall Scout Group and Randalstown Community Playground each received 65 children’s high vis vests and 15 in adult size.
Darker days coming with clocks changing
Specsavers store director, Davin Quinn, said: ‘With the clocks changing very soon, young people will be faced with going to school and to their youth clubs in the dark. To be safe as a road user and as a pedestrian, you have to be seen and these high vis vests will help to keep a few more children a little bit safer whilst out and about this winter.
'We are delighted to have been able to donate the vests and to help spread the message of road safety.’
