Local girl, Millie Burke, was delighted to be presented with her competition prize of a Nintendo 2DS following her win in the Alton Welly Boot Hunt organised by local business group, Alton Matters.
Local businesses supporting the community
The Alton Welly Boot Hunt was one of many activities that featured at this year’s Alton Walking Festival. Specsavers was one of many local businesses involved, offering prizes for families in the community to win, and was delighted to donate the Nintendo 2DS as a main competition prize for the Welly Boot Hunt challenge.
Together with other competition winners from the event, Millie rubbed shoulders with local dignitaries that included Mayor Pam Jones, Tanya Applegath - Chairperson of Alton Matters and Helen Broadbent Secretary of Alton Matters.
Store director presents the top prize
Premesh Patel, store director for Specsavers in Alton said: ‘The Welly Boot Hunt was a fun way to attract more customers to our fantastic high street. Millie, along with her family and other local residents all had a great time during the Hunt and we were delighted to present a worthy winner with her prize!’
