Alloa's opticians have raised more than £1,000 for charities and good causes in the past year by holding a number of fundraising events in 2015, with proceeds donated to Comic Relief, Blind Veterans UK and Strathcarron Hospice.
Fundraising activity include a series of events in support of Comic Relief. Staff at the store organised a children’s fun day, bake sale, and a ‘funny face’ day in which staff made their faces funny for money by wearing face paint, make-up and wigs.
Brave staff member Kieran Gounden even had his legs waxed to boost the total to an impressive £684.
The store also raised £117 for Strathcarron Hospice during its relaunch celebrations following a refurbishment.
