The sun was out in Aldershot on 10 June as the town celebrated its annual Victoria Day and enjoying every second was the local Specsavers team.
Biggest highlight of the year for town
Specsavers in Aldershot was a proud sponsor of this year’s event. It’s purpose is to celebrate the town’s close ties with Queen Victoria and every year, it draws people in their thousands.
Lots of fun and entertainment was had on the day. This included a parade with a marching band, Nepali dancers, classical cars, children’s fun fair rides and Queen Victoria – AKA Betty Bryce from the town – making her entrance in a horse-drawn carriage.
Delighted to be involved Mark Dunn, store director says: ‘Victoria Day is one of Aldershot’s key calendar events and as a well-established retailer in the community, it is important to play our part as a sponsor. A great day was had by all, including my team. I cannot wait to see how they better this year in 2018!’
