North Lanarkshire Sport Awards honour individuals who help to inspire people of all ages to get involved in sport across North Lanarkshire.
The Airdrie and Coatbridge stores sponsored the School Sports Champion (Secondary) category this year, helping to raise awareness of the importance of sport in the community.
Jamie Parker from Cumbernauld Academy was awarded the title of School Sports Champion for his outstanding contribution to the provision of physical activity for young people within his school.
Inspiring young people
Andrew McGonagle, director for the Airdrie and Coatbridge stores, said: ‘Inspiring young people to develop their skills in sport and to lead a healthy lifestyle is vitally important – and we are very proud to be involved in recognising people who help to do this in our communities.
‘A big part of our role as a company is to encourage young people to attend regular eye health check-ups and to think about their eyes alongside a healthy mind and body.’
