The team from Abingdon Specsavers showed off their finest Mary Berry baking skills to raise money for Comic Relief 2017.
A feast of fundraising
Optical advisor Mat Rouvray, a former head chef who has a penchant for baking, led the store on a charity bake sale, while the rest of the team ditched their uniforms in favour of red outfits and sold the official Red Nose Day comedy specs, raising more than £1226 for Comic Relief.
A word from the store director
Andrew Threlfall, store director at Specsavers in Abingdon, said: ‘It was a great week for the team to get involved in and the comedy specs flew off the shelves.
‘The cake sale was top notch thanks to our team - and our lovely customers were able to enjoy a variety of delicious sweets. Thank you to everyone for your generosity and time.'
Specsavers is supporting Comic Relief to help poor and vulnerable people living tough lives both here in the UK and across Africa and has raised more than £450,000 for the charity.
