Festive celebrations in Abergavenny helped raise £70 for international charity, Save the Children.

Colourful Christmas clothing

To mark the festive period, the team at the Frogmore Street store dressed up in colourful Christmas clothing, donating £2 each to Save the Children.

Christmas Jumper Day is an annual appeal by Save the Children, a charity that aims to tackle child poverty and hunger.

In 2016, it supported more than 22 million children worldwide. Funds raised help support healthcare services and children’s shelters in less developed countries.

Giving children a chance

Sejal Shah, store director at Abergavenny, said: ‘Christmas is a magical time of the year but also a time to think of those less fortunate than us.

'Save the Children works tirelessly to give young people a chance and let them celebrate the festive season when they otherwise couldn’t.

‘Christmas Jumper Day allowed our team to have some fun in-store and encourage our customers to do the same, all while supporting the work of the charity.’
