Staff at the Keighley Specsavers have recently raised money for Macmillan Cancer Support by hosting a World’s Biggest Coffee Morning event for customers and fellow retailers.
The Keighley Specsavers hosted the coffee morning at 9.30am on Friday 26 September to collect donations for the cancer charity. The team were on hand to offer guests cake in exchange for donations in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Everyone knows someone who's been affected by cancer
There are more than 200 different kinds of cancer and one in three people will be diagnosed with the disease. There are currently two million people living with cancer in the UK and this figure is set to double by 2030.
Nigel Wilson, store director at Keighley Specsavers, said: ‘We all know someone who has been affected by cancer so it’s important to support charities that do such fantastic work to help sufferers and their families.
‘We hope our coffee morning will be well supported by the local community to help us raise as much money as possible for Macmillan.’
