Terms and conditions
The prize draw is open to anyone resident in the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man or Republic of Ireland, subject to entrants under the age of 18 having the consent of their parent or guardian to enter the prize draw, except employees of the Specsavers group, or any third-party associates and members of their families, who are not eligible to enter this prize draw. Enter online at specsavers.co.uk/prizes, or by post to ‘Transformers Bumblebee Prize’, Specsavers Kids Magazine, PO Box 767, Bristol, BS8 1SB. Postal entries must include the entrant’s name, age, address and telephone number and, if the entrant is under the age of 18, the parent/guardian’s name and telephone number. The prize draw will run from 17th October 2018 (‘the Opening Date’) to 31st March 2019 (the ‘Closing Date’) inclusive. All entries must be received no later than midnight on the Closing Date. Entries received after the Closing Date will not be counted. Specsavers accepts no responsibility for entries that are late, damaged, delayed, defaced, illegible or lost in transit for any reason, or for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault. Specsavers will not accept bulk entries. Proof of postage or confirmation of email transmission is not proof of entry. Entry into the prize draw is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions. No purchase is required. The winner will be chosen at random from all entries received. There is one prize consisting of: one private screening of Bumblebee for the winner and up to 50 friends at EITHER Paramount Pictures UK Offices in Chiswick, London, or the winner’s local Cineworld, Empire, Odeon, Vue or Showcase Cinema in the UK or Ireland. The prize is valid between 1st April and 30th June 2019 and is subject to availability. Where the private screening is held at a local cinema, seating may be limited. Final available seating numbers will be communicated to the winner or parent/guardian after the prize draw has taken place. Private screening at Paramount Pictures UK Offices must take place on a weekday, and the private screening at a local cinema must take place on Monday – Thursday evening at 6:30pm or a weekend morning at 10:30am. The winner and all guests are subject to restrictions of the film certification. ID will be required. Any guests under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult or guardian (each accompanying adult or guardian’s seat will be included in the winner’s prize of up to 50 seats); popcorn and soft drinks will be included and provided at the Paramount Pictures UK Office screening only. No meals or drinks are included at the local cinema screenings. No accommodation, travel or additional expenses will be provided. NO RECORDING, this screening will be monitored for unauthorised recording. By attending, you agree not to bring any recording device into the theatre. If you attempt to enter with a recording device, you will be denied admission. Mobile phones are permitted but must be switched off at all points throughout the screening. If you attempt to use a recording device, you consent to your immediate removal from the theatre and forfeiture of the device. Unauthorised recording will be reported to law enforcement and may subject you to criminal and civil liability.
The prize may not be exchanged or transferred, and no cash alternative will be offered. Only one entry per person. Specsavers’ decision on any aspect of the prize draw is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Specsavers reserves the right to change, hold, void or cancel the prize draw at any time without notice. The draw will take place on or after 1st April 2019. The winner will be notified as soon as is practicable after the draw has taken place. If any winner is under the age of 18, Specsavers will contact the winner’s parent/guardian by telephone to confirm that they consent to the winner entering the prize draw and agree to accept the prize on the winner’s behalf, subject to these terms. If the prize-winner or their parent/ guardian cannot be contacted after three attempts to do so, and/or the parent/guardian refuses or fails to agree to accept the prize on the winner’s behalf subject to these terms, or the prize-winner is found to be in breach of these terms and conditions or the rules of entry for the draw, Specsavers reserves the right to reallocate the prize. Specsavers reserves the right to alter or substitute any element of the prize, whether available or not, with a prize of a similar value. The winner’s name can be obtained after 14th April 2019 upon request in writing from: Paramount Bumblebee Prize, Specsavers Kids Magazine, PO Box 767, Bristol, BS8 1SB. The winner may be required to participate in reasonable publicity on behalf of Specsavers. Specsavers is the promoter of this prize draw. This prize draw and these terms and conditions are governed by and subject to English Law and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
