With Specsavers Yate currently open for urgent and essential care only, a pharmacist was delighted with the service she received after her reading specs had broken.

The store has suspended all routine testing for the foreseeable future, but the skeleton team is still on hand to help those who need it, particularly key workers. Dispensing optician, Amy Parker has been able to help in a number of ways, including repairing a pair of specs for a pharmacist after a lens had fallen out so they could continue to work.

Amy has also provided glasses for a minor injuries nurse and a local GP after they developed issues with wearing contact lenses.

A word from the store director

‘There’s no doubting that these are challenging times for all of us,’ said Specsavers Yate interim store director, Terry Wheldon. ‘But I’m incredibly proud of Amy, and the team for continuing to support each other. We pride ourselves on our customer service, so it’s brilliant that we’re still able to safely help those who need it most.’
