Staff at Specsavers in Galashiels shared the love on Thursday 13 November to celebrate World Kindness Day.
The warm-hearted Galashiels staff welcomed customers to the store with baked goods and home-made treats.
Random acts of kindness
The staff also showed random acts of kindness to three unsuspecting customers.
Lynda Cowe from Kelso was granted two free pairs of designer glasses from the store, while Michael Heron of Peebles was delighted to receive a box of Thorntons chocolates and Janet Snowden from Kelso was presented with a luxury bouquet of flowers.
All the customers received a card to tell them about the World Kindness Day concept and why Galashiels had donated them gifts.
Exceptional customer service
Store director, Iain McFadyen says: ‘The staff at Specsavers in Galashiels pride themselves on exceptional customer service, but sometimes it is nice to go that little bit further.
‘It was a great feeling giving the random acts of kindness to customers, and many left the store with a bigger smile than usual on their face.
‘The staff thoroughly enjoyed spreading the love and we hope that our customers enjoyed it as much as we did.’
