Staff in the Windsor store are on hand to give advice and support to those who are jetting off to the mountains

Many of you may be about to hit the slopes over the next few months, and staff at Specsavers in Windsor are on-hand to ensure your’s and your family’s eyesight are properly protected on the piste.

Importance of UV protection

Staff in the Windsor store are championing sunglasses for both children and adults as they head to the mountains over the winter months.

Seema Patel, store director at Specsavers in Windsor, said: ‘Many people don’t realise how dangerous winter sun can be, not only for our skin, but also our eyesight.

‘Ensuring that your eyes are properly protected from sun damage in the snow is of paramount importance and I would urge anyone who is heading off on a skiing holiday to check their sunglasses and ensure they are fully protected from UV rays.

‘Staff at the store can offer help and advice to anyone who is unsure as to the level of protection they need, and we have a wide range of children’s and adults’ sunglasses available.’
