Happy customers scooped prizes in West Bridgford last month, as winners were announced from the team’s charity raffle.
Cash for local charities
The raffle was held over the month of April, with winners being drawn on 10 May, and raised £80 for the store’s chosen local charities, Renew 37 and The Friary. It brings the total raised so far this year to a fantastic £900.
‘We’re so thankful to local businesses who donated prizes, and to everyone who entered the draw,’ said store director, Stephen Rogers. ‘It’s brilliant to be supporting these two charities that are making such a difference to people’s lives locally.’
Prizes included wine tasting vouchers donated by Laithwaites, play sessions donated by the Pirate’s Play Centre in Nottingham, game tickets from Trent Bridge cricket ground and artisan biscuits from Carluccio’s in West Bridgford.
Renew37 provides a community space for anyone that is struggling with their wellbeing or social isolation; whether that’s to have a chat over a cup of tea, get involved in one of the range of activities on offer, or seek some professional advice from the Rushcliffe Mental Health Co-Production team.
The Friary offers a range of advice and support including confidential welfare guidance, access to the IT suite for help with benefit and housing claims, a range of health and hygiene facilities, refreshments, and emotional support.
