West Bridgford Opticians helps youngsters be seen

11 December, 2014

Specsavers in West Bridgford is working towards keeping youngsters safe by donating high-visibility vests to local children’s groups including: Alphabet House Day nursery, Secret Garden Day nursery and a local Brownies group.

Following on from Road Safety Week, staff from Specsavers visited both nurseries to highlight the importance of road safety and how the high-visibility vests will ensure children are seen on the roads.

‘It’s great to get behind this fantastic nationwide initiative that puts children’s safety on the roads at the heart of its campaign,’ said Simon Dunn, store director.

‘We still have a number of high-visibility vests in store and we’re looking to help as many community groups and schools as we can, so please get in touch if you would like a donation of vests.’

Sponsored by Specsavers, Road Safety Week is organised each year by Brake. Working to make roads and communities safer, the charity was established in 1997 to raise awareness of road safety and prevent deaths and injuries throughout the year.
