The team at Specsavers Wellingborough got involved with Red Nose Day on Friday 15 March to help raise money for Comic Relief.
Staff at Specsavers in the Swansgate Shopping Centre helped support the cause by dressing in red and having a fun-filled day with a charity bake sale.
A word from the store director
‘Staff had a great fun channelling their inner bakers, and the cakes went down a treat for customers and passers-by,’ said store director, David Williams. ‘It was an action-packed day with lots of laughs and we were pleased to raise money for the charity and see some friendly faces from the local community.’
It’s the third year that Specsavers stores have supported Comic Relief by launching funny frames, with this year’s red glasses jester theme in keeping with the charity’s comic ethos. Since becoming an official supporter in 2015, Specsavers has raised more than £1million for the charity through selling the glasses.
