Specsaver opticians in Diss have raised a whopping £367.80 in aid of Brain Tumour research to support the vital research provided by the organisation.
The store raised money through various activities as they held an in store raffle, competitions for children and adults, a cake sale and a sponsored ‘Wear A Hat To Work’ initiative where staff spent the week wearing various hats.
Store Director, Simon Hill, said: ‘It was amazing to see our community getting behind us and supporting the cause. Some of the staff had questionable choices of headwear but it was all fun and games and we’re glad to have been able to do our part. I’m proud of the staff and would like to thank everyone that came in to show their support and donate.’
Brain Tumour research work hard to provide support for people diagnosed with brain tumours and ensure that the disease has the same funding as leukaemia, breast cancer and other prominent diseases.
