Wantage team honour Maisie Norton
Specsavers in Wantage is joining the fight against cancer, pledging to raise £1,000 for the Caring Cancer Trust in memory of Maisie Norton, a 17-year-old Wantage resident who lost her fight against the disease in 2015.
The Grove Street Specsavers store has designed a unique charity bracelet, which will be sold in-store for £3 with all proceeds donated to the charity.
A word from the store director
Store director, Nicky Rutter explained: ‘Maisie was the cousin of two of our opticial assistants, so this cause is very close to our hearts. We designed these bracelets to honour Maisie and the hard fight that she fought. The Caring Cancer Trust was her chosen charity, so we want to continue this support in her honour.
‘We’re really hoping our customers and the wider community get behind this brillant cause and help us reach our £1,000 target.
'The bracelets are very special, and by wearing one not only are you donating to the cause, you are also raising awareness of the fight against cancer.’
