Shepherds Bush eyecare experts have joined with school pupils to champion safe road use in the area.

Partnership

The team from Specsavers on Uxbridge Road presented Miles Coverdale Primary School with 30 high visibility vests as part of an initiative aimed at promoting road safety and the importance of being visible among pedestrians and road users.

Rebecca Burgess, an ophthalmic optician and director of Specsavers in Shepherds Bush, also carried out an interactive learning session about the eye with the pupils during a visit to the school.

A word from the store director

Rebecca said: ‘As eyecare experts, we are passionate about promoting the importance of vision and visibility in safe road use. We’re thrilled that the young people of Miles Coverdale Primary School will also be able to champion this cause and set an example to others by wearing their high visibility vests when out and about.’
