Specsavers Brownhills raised nearly £100 for the County Air Ambulance Trust in Walsall, by running an in-store tuck shop for three months.
The store raised the funds by selling a surplus of selection chocolate boxes from Christmas, and chocolate treats that were kindly donated by Specsavers customers.
Store director, Monica Brocklebank says, ‘We’re delighted the tuck shop raised £97.64. We all had a lot of chocolate left over after Christmas, and rather than it go on our waistlines, we thought this would be a good way to raise money and awareness for a great charity.’
The County Air Ambulance Trust is a British charity that raises funds to improve the life saving service air ambulances provide.
