Trekking Challenge Success At Milton Keynes
19 year old Adam Malik is back from trekking the highest freestanding mountain in the world – Mount Kilimanjaro - and is delighted to announce he raised £1,172!
Team support his cause
Customers and the team also helped Adam with donations and store director, Steve Moore, was honoured to present him with a cheque for £431. Adam is delighted to see these funds go to Vision Aid Overseas, an international charity dedicated to fighting poverty by transforming access to eyecare in developing countries.
Adam says thank you
Adam says: 'I am overwhelmed by the support of our customers and the team. It was an amazing experience and an honour to help a charity that is close to all our hearts. Thank you all for your donations.'
Vision Aid Overseas
The charity raises vital income to support activities overseas that include giving people all-important eye tests and treatment by training up local optometrists. The role they play is vital in reaching nearly 640 million people (10% of the world's population) who are believed to be disadvantaged by poor vision and a lack of glasses.
