The team at Specsavers made their presence known on Market Street on Saturday 22 October with the help of the local town crier.
Ashby’s crier, Peter Taunton, urged local residents to focus on eye health while members of staff spoke to people about the importance of regular sight tests.
A loud and clear message
Newly appointed store director Leon Wilson commented: ‘We thoroughly enjoyed working with Peter for the day and hope that local people got the message loud and clear.
‘An eye examination is an essential part of an overall health check-up, so we want to encourage people in Ashby to visit us in store for their next sight test.’
Leon is the newest member of the Specsavers team in Ashby. With more than 20 years of optical experience, Leon previously worked as a senior optometrist in the award-winning Sutton-in-Ashfield store before making the move to Ashby-De-La-Zouch.
‘We have a great team of experienced staff members here at Ashby and I’m so pleased to work alongside them in my new role. We want to let people in the local area know about the services we offer, so to find out more, feel free to pop into store and chat to a member of our team.’
