Last December, for the third year in a row, the Specsavers hearing stores in Totton and Shirley backed the Wave 105 Mission Christmas Appeal.
And the teams in both stores would like to say a massive thank you to their customers for getting involved in the festive charity campaign.
Spreading smiles at Christmas
The Mission Christmas campaign is run by the charity Cash for Kids. People are encouraged to donate a new unwrapped gift suitable for a child or young person under the age of 18, which the charity will pass on to someone who might not normally receive a festive gift.
Statistics suggest that there may be up to 17,000 children and young people living in poverty in the Hampshire area.
A word from the hearcare director
Dr Alison Vaughan, audiology director at the stores in Totton and Shirley, said: ‘We would like to thank everyone who was kind enough to drop a toy off to us in store.
‘Each year, our stores gradually become a grotto throughout December, and that is all down to the generosity of our customers and staff. Mission Christmas is a really worthwhile cause, and one we intend to support well into the future.’
