Staff strike a pose with the Comic Relief glasses

Torquay staff showed their support for Comic Relief this year with the sale of official Red Nose Day glasses, accessorised with waving hands.

Specsavers staff donned the novelty specs to help promote the sale of the glasses in store, proving that they had no problem having fun!

Pledge exceeded

Thanks to everyone’s support and the kind generosity of customers more than 300 pairs of the specs were sold!

In total Specsavers stores nationwide also beat their pledge of £250,000, raising a massive £475,000!

Torquay store director, Gordon Graham, said: ‘Thanks to everyone who came in to the store to take part in Comic Relief and purchase their novelty specs. Red Nose Day certainly does put the fun in fundraising!’

A great cause

Specsavers fundraising for Comic Relief will help poor and vulnerable people living tough lives both here in the UK and across Africa.

Specsavers has been a Comic Relief partner since 2015.
