St Albans is filled with lots of things to see and do, from its rolling parklands to its stunning architecture.

And who better to recommend the area’s top attractions than the team from Specsavers in Market Place, who have been looking after the town’s sight for almost a quarter of a century.

A few recommendations from the store director

Amar Sharma, store director of Specsavers in St Albans, said: ‘St Albans Cathedral is a real highlight of the city, located just a five minute walk from our store. With some of the oldest medieval wall paintings and the longest Nave in the country, just remember to bring your specs to fully enjoy your vast surroundings.

‘Another favourite of our team members and customers is the sprawling Verulamium Park which is set in over 100 acres of beautiful parkland, just a mile from us here in Market Place. Again, keep your eyes peeled for the array of waterbirds on the ornamental lake as you enjoy a leisurely stroll.

‘We have been lucky to call beautiful St Albans home for almost a quarter of a century and we always encourage the local community to make time for regular eye tests so that we can help them continue to enjoy the beautiful surroundings here.’
