Champagne corks were popped by staff from Specsavers Bicester on Saturday 30 March after they took home the Multiple Practice of the Year award at the Optician Awards.
The store walked away with the prize after beating off competition from four other nominees which included three Specsavers stores.
'Delighted to have won'
‘It’s just fantastic and we’re all absolutely delighted to have won,’ said store director, Satnam Johal. ‘The Optician Awards are considered to be the industry’s Oscars so it’s particularly pleasing to have taken home such a prestigious trophy.
‘We had great fun celebrating on the night and it was lovely to be able to say thank you to the team for their hard work. It’s also continuing our award success from 2018 when we won three industry and business awards.
‘So far 2019 is looking really positive, as along with this win, we’ve also been crowned Employer of the Year in the FSB (Federation of Small Businesses) Celebrating Small Business Awards 2019 – South East and been shortlisted in the Established Business Award category in the Cherwell Business Awards 2019. We’ll be crossing our fingers that more success is to come.’
The Optician Awards has been established for more than 20 years and is the highlight of the year for optical practices, attracting the UK’s most talented opticians, teams and companies.
