Specsavers in Tonbridge has has supported their community by donating high visibility vests to a local school and took some furry friends with them.

Beavers and cubs

The store, located on 15 High Street, gave 86 vests to Sussex Road Primary School to promote road safety at night.

They were also joined by Guide Dogs for the Blind volunteer Lynne Martindale and her guide dog, so that the children could learn more about the important role the dogs play in protecting blind or partially blind people.

Road user awareness

Specsavers store director, Nicola Wilkinson saids: ‘It's getting darker very early now and we're keen to make road users more aware of children.

Walking to and from school

'We hope our donation will help them feel more confident when walking to and from school.'
