Thousands of spectators gather for fireworks spectacular
Rugby club Bury St Edmunds RUFC lit up the Bury skyline on Friday 4 November as they hosted their famous firework display - attracting over 1,000 spectators.
The annual event hosted on Friday 4 November, was sponsored for the very first time, by Specsavers Bury St Edmunds, and featured a stunning display of fireworks – the biggest in the event’s history. The night also included an inside and outside bar, hot food, merchandise stalls, an outside disco and children’s funfair.
Specsavers in Bury St Edmunds, located in Buttermarket, supported the rugby club as they put on an evening of fun and entertainment for the whole community.
Staff from the store joined in the festivities by offering visitors eyecare advice ahead of Road Safety Week (21-27 November) that aims to stimulate community involvement in promoting road safety awareness year-round.
Store director, Marc Mitchell, says: ‘We’re really excited to have supported this year’s Bury St Edmunds RUFC fireworks, as it’s an event everyone looks forward to throughout the year. Every year the community gets together to celebrate and enjoy this event and we are thrilled that we were able to be a part of it this year to raise money for the community and raise awareness about eye health and road safety.’
