Specsavers in Leigh hosted an in-store Halloween party to help raise vital funds for Breast Cancer Care, a charity which offers invaluable support for those suffering with breast cancer.

Pink October

The event marked the culmination of a month-long campaign by Specsavers in Leigh, which saw the team celebrate all things pink every Friday throughout October, all in aid of the charity.

Rumit Patel, store director at Specsavers in Leigh, comments: ‘The help that this charity provides to victims of cancer is immeasurable so we are thrilled to have been able to raise crucial funds in their honour.

‘Everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer and we hope our customers will continue to pledge their support and donate whatever they can.’

Breast Cancer Care

Breast Cancer Care offers emotional and practical support to people affected by the disease, campaigns for improvement in standards of care and promotes the importance of early detection.

Someone is diagnosed with breast cancer every ten minutes in the UK, and one in eight British women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. Thanks to an increased awareness and understanding of the disease, 85 per cent of people will now survive breast cancer beyond five years.
