Thetford opticians get pretty in pink for Breast Cancer
Thetford’s town crier joined forces with Specsavers Thetford to announce a spectacular fundraising event and call on the community to dig deep for Breast Cancer Care.
Pink and proud
The store was covered in a sea of colour as staff became pretty in pink on Saturday 18 June, raising over £450 for the charity.
Despite the stormy weather the staff held their ground selling homemade pink cupcakes and Breast Cancer awareness pins outside the store. They also held a raffle in the run up to the event which included 27 prize donations from staff and other local businesses.
Paul Clark, store director, said: ‘We really enjoyed seeing customers old and new come together to support such a wonderful cause. It was an extremely successful day, exceeding our expectations. We’re so thankful for all the generous donations that were given for Breast Cancer Care.’
Breast Cancer Care is a UK wide charity providing care, information and support to people affected by breast cancer.
