The Montrose opticians is organising a fun-packed race night featuring eight races with a selection of prizes up for grabs in support of Alzheimer Scotland.
The start of many
The fundraising event is the first of several planned by Specsavers in Montrose over the coming months, and will culminate in four members of staff completing a sponsored skydive this summer.
Store director Bridgeen Johnston, who will be taking part in the skydive alongside fellow store director Christopher Nugent, trainee dispensing optician Angela Boyle and optical assistant Natalie Archibald, said: ‘We’re very excited to kick off the first of our Alzheimer Scotland fundraising events.
‘The race night officially starts the countdown to our skydive which I’m sure will be both a nerve-wracking and a spectacular experience.
‘We’d like to raise as much money as we can for the charity so it would fantastic to have the support of the local community and a great turn out at the race night.’
The Specsavers race night takes place on Friday 13 May at 7.30pm at the Royal British Legion, 16 Wellington Street. Tickets cost £5 and are available to purchase from Specsavers in Montrose, located at 83 High Street.
You can back a horse now for £3 each per race.
