The ‘Love Wall’ event
SPECSAVERS IN Rothwell is inviting customers and members of the community into store to contribute to its ‘Love Wall’ in aid of the British Hearth Foundation and as part of National Heart Month 2016.
Starting from 1st February, for a donation of 50p, a message can be written on a post-it which will be applied to the store window of the Rothwell Specsavers to create a shape of a heart. Customers who book a free contact lens trail will get to make two messages for 50p. All money collected will go to the British Heart Foundation.
On 14 February a winning message will be selected from the Love Wall. The winner will receive a free pair of frames to the value of £69, a £40 voucher for Salute and flowers from Flower Power.
A word from the Store Director
James Pickersgill, store director at Rothwell Specsavers, comments: ‘‘It is shocking that so many people from our region suffer from heart and circulatory disease. We’re delighted to be supporting National Heart Month in February by creating the Love Wall and collecting donations for the British Heart Foundation.
‘An eye test can spot early signs of heart disease. Through careful examination of the retina, an optometrist can view small changes in the blood vessels in the back of the eye, which can indicate cardiovascular disease, an illness that affects the eye first. I therefore all of those who haven’t visited us for more than two years to book an appointment. An eye test is critical as it enables us to spot any potential issues as soon as possible.’
