The team from Specsavers West Bridgford celebrated their tenth anniversary in style on Saturday 22 June with entertainment and freebies.
The Central Avenue store has been a part of the business community in West Bridgford since the year that Barack Obama moved into the White House, Jedward featured on X Factor and Twilight came out on DVD.
Entertainment and giveaways
The avenue was buzzing as staff members took to the streets with a stiltwalker and a giant ear. Face painting proved popular outside the store, while the team served up birthday cake inside.
As a thank you to customers on the day, every tenth pair of specs sold was given away on the house. Three lucky winners took away free glasses, a total prize value of around £500.
Specsavers West Bridgford store director, Stephen Rogers, said: ‘This has been a great opportunity for us to thank our customers for their support. We had brilliant weather and everyone enjoyed the day.
‘It’s also been a chance to look back over the last ten years and celebrate the business we’ve grown. Things have changed of course in terms of the technology we’re using and our team is seven times the size it was when we opened, but we’ve kept our commitment to great customer service and that’s what motivates us.’
