The Great Western Air Ambulance Charity (GWAAC) is set to benefit from a donation of more than £100 thanks to the team at Specsavers in Telford.
Staff had a collection in store and with help from the generous local community and customers, the team managed to raise £113 for the charity.
‘Sometimes, something as simple as having a collection pot in store goes a long way in raising awareness and funds,’ said optical assistant, Jack Hearne. ‘We’re delighted to have raised funds for the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity and hope our contribution will go some way in helping the charity continue its important work.’
GWAAC provides emergency care to people who are in a state so critical that they require the specialist skills at the scene of an accident or medical incident. With a priority to get to the patient fast, specialists treat people at the scene, on the road and in the air, aiming to give them the best chance of a positive outcome.
