Generous customers to Aylesbury Specsavers have donated hundreds of Christmas gifts for disadvantaged children in Buckinghamshire.

Acting as a collection point for this year’s Mix 96 Christmas Toy Appeal, the team asked customers to bring in a gift during December, helping to bring a smile to children’s faces this Christmas.

‘At this time of year it’s easy to forget that some youngsters won’t have a present to open on Christmas morning, so we were keen to get involved in the toy appeal this year,’ said Ellen Conquest, store director. ‘We’ve been overwhelmed by our customers’ generosity and we’d just like to say thanks to everybody who brought in a gift for the appeal.’

The Mix 96 Christmas Toy Appeal asks people to buy one extra gift and donate it to the appeal. The toys are then distributed to disadvantaged youngsters across the county in time for Christmas.
