Staff are striking their best poses for Armed Forces week in aid of Blind Veterans UK.
To show support for this year’s Armed Forces Week (20-26 June), staff in Tavistock will be hosting a day of fancy dress fun on Saturday 25 June to raise money for Blind Veterans UK.
Tropical summer theme
The team will be wearing Hawaiian get-ups, including some crazy summer sunglasses, as well as donating £1 from every eye test to the charity, with collection boxes so customers are able to make a donation at the till point.
Sarah Routly, store director at Specsavers in Tavistock, says: ‘Blind Veterans UK provides crucial support to those who have either lost or had their sight damaged while representing our country in the armed forces. We please to be helping out by encouraging all of our staff, customers and wider members of the community to get involved in whatever way they can.’
