Taking safety seriously in Tunbridge Wells
Pupils from St Matthew's Junior School can now be seen clearly thanks to Specsavers in Tunbridge Wells.
The store has donated 50 high-visibility vests to the school so that children can be safe on their travels in the dark. Specsavers supports road safety charity Brake, which works to combat tragedy caused by traffic incidents.
Road safety tips from the store director
Sonal Sharma, store director of Specsavers Tunbridge Wells has advised parents on how to keep their children safe.
He said: 'Explaining road safety rules to your children can help them understand their importance, as well as asking them to speak about what they themselves think is safe and not safe. As well as this, you can encourage them to make their own decisions about road safety following your help and guidance, to help them learn when it's safe to cross the road, for instance.'
