RISHI Ganatra, director at Swiss Cottage Specsavers, was keen to help Daphne, 75, when he heard that she had broken her glasses but was not able to get out of the house to get them fixed.
When Daphne called the store she told Rishi that she was going to ask around to see if any of her friends could bring her glasses into store to be fixed. Rishi was happy to offer to come to her house to fix them instead.
As Daphne is not able to get out, Rishi also offered to pick up some groceries for Daphne to which she gratefully asked for milk and manchego cheese.
Fixing Daphne's glasses from a safe distance
Daphne left her glasses on the doorstep so that Rishi could safely collect them and repair them in his car whilst maintaining social distancing.
Rishi says: ‘We know how hard it is for many people at the moment not being able to get out and we want to help our customers as much as we can. I was only too happy to pop to Daphne’s house to fix her glasses whilst keeping her safe, and it was nice to be able to deliver her favourite cheese as well!’
