Swift team response during cardiac arrest
The Specsavers Wigan team were presented with a personal card from the partner of a customer who had suffered a cardiac arrest in the waiting room of their store.
The card personally thanked Shaun Gregory, an optical assistant who acted fast to get an ambulance and call for assistance when he suspected the gentleman was having a heart attack and the director Graeme Gardner who administered lifesaving CPR until the paramedics arrived to resuscitate the customer.
‘Thanks to everyone in store, he is, against all odds, making progress and been allowed to return home from hospital'
The customer’s partner said they were impressed by the swiftness of the rest of the Wigan team in relocating other customers who were in the waiting room to another area and providing further support during the traumatic incident.
