Everyone is welcome to drop by Rothes Halls this Wednesday to pick up a sweet treat and help raise money for the Hearing Dogs charity.
Specsavers is hosting a bake sale in aid of Hearing Dogs for Deaf People this week, with home baked goodies on offer for sweet toothed locals as well as doggy bags, containing homemade peanut butter dog biscuits, for their canine companion.
Representatives from the Hearing Dogs charity, Ken and Sandra Scott, will also join Megan Gartshore and Carol McCallum from Specsavers Glenrothes outside the Rothes Halls with their assistance dog Spike drumming up support for the charity.
A worthy cause to support
Hearing Dogs for deaf people trains and provides assistance dogs for people who have hearing difficulties. These highly skilled canine companions alert people to simple sounds such as an alarm clock, doorbell and fire alarm.
Specsavers Glenrothes will man the home baking stall and hand out information leaflets and merchandise from 10am-4pm on Wednesday 24 August at Rothes Halls, Kingdom Shopping Centre, Glenrothes.
All proceeds from the day will go to the Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.
