Specsavers in Swansea has launched a competition for budding young creatives to enter this summer.

Specsavers-themed emoji

The competition invites children under the age of 16 to draw their own Specsavers-themed emoji and submit their entries to the store, located on the Kingsway, for a chance to win an emoji gift bag.

The competition ties in with Specsavers’ launch of its own emoji glasses range, which includes four different frames so children can channel their favourite emoji characters.

Creative competition

Tracy Hill, store manager at Specsavers in Swansea, says: ‘With school officially out for summer, we wanted to give our youngest customers something to get their creativity flowing throughout the holidays and we can’t wait to see what Specsavers-themed emojis are created. Emoji is Japanese for picture character and that’s exactly what we’re looking for.

‘Emojis are a worldwide sensation so we’re really excited to have our own frame range in store – we hope the new glasses and the competition will be a big hit this summer.’

The competition closes on 3 September and the winner will be drawn on 4 September.
